About RETWA

Our Mission
Welcome to the Russia-Eurasia Terror Watch (RETWA). RETWA is  a non-partisan, non-profit, research, education, and communications project established in January 2005 under the management of ARMMSI a registered 501(c)3. RETWA is not affiliated with the U.S. government or any foreign government or agency.

Our mission is to bring new information on terror in Russia and Eurasia; the war on terror; social and political developments; human rights issues, cultural and religious factors; and other related issues into the public realm with the idea of providing fresh perspectives, stimulating debate, and widening understanding of the complicated issues impacting political, security, and economic stability in Russia, the Caucasus, and Central Asia.

We accomplish our mission by:

(1) Serving as a “clearing house” of information by developing and sharing a large information data base with our visitors, subscribers, and others.

(2) Publishing on-line, real-time, news reports translated from original Russian sources, statistics, expert analyses, terrorist profiles, and related research materials.

(3) Featuring books, reviews, RETWA and visitor submitted articles and news analyses.

(4) Sponsoring, facilitating, and participating in media events, conferences, roundtables, and the exchange of counterterrorism practitioners.

(5) Providing information and security briefings, training, resources, and other services.
