The following figures drawn from RETWA’s daily reporting concern the number of people killed and wounded by roadside bombs, landmines, assassinations, ambushes, and other violent acts committed by suspected North Caucasus Islamic militants in the month of March 2006. Casualties (except militant) resulting from police operations are also included.
The statistics presented below are broken down by republic with the following casualty categories: Civilians, Government Officials, Policemen, Russian Ministry of Defense Personnel, and Russian Interior Ministry Troops Servicemen.
